Lately

Maine, 2016

It's idyllic to be out of the city this summer, even if there's sometimes a cacophony of screaming children here. The days are long in Maine, and jam packed. There are plenty of flash points where it all seems a little hairy, but then there are the sweet, peaceful moments that make it more than worthwhile.

Sometimes, I remember an adventure that seems like it happened days ago and realize it was just this morning. So we're all a little delirious, but it makes me so happy to see the boys hunting for frogs or hermit crabs and running around barefoot with various scrapes and war wounds...proof of a busy day on the beach.

Sunstruck

Maine, 2016
Getting through the heat wave with lots of belly flops in the pool, boat trips, improvised tents, and much-delayed bedtimes.

Squirrel Madness

Maine, 2016

I think we're getting to the point in the summer where the children have staged a coup and are running the show. These wild squirrels are having a ball.

Lately

Maine, 2016

Completing several mini Olympics here a day, between the badminton, swimming, rolling, child throwing, and other extreme sports.

Bo: Seven Months Old

Bo, 2016

Bo has been a little under the weather (which has incidentally been driving rain for three days.) But he's still such a cheerful fellow, and getting right into the fray of cousins and family.

Here's a look back at Oscar and Axel at the same age.

Arrived!

Maine, 2016

Happy Fourth of July! On Friday, we drove through a big storm and made our way to Maine. As you can see, the boys have hit the ground running.

Six cousins arrive today and two more on Wednesday so you can just about imagine the excitement.
