Oh, hello! Oscar is already a wizened five day old.
He seems pretty comfortable here and apart from the shock of being up all night again, we are settling into a new routine of sorts. Breastfeeding is much easier the second time around, mainly because I am not second guessing everything or wondering how the baby could possibly be hungry again. I accept that that's just what newborns do, though it doesn't make me any less ragged at 3 a.m.
Aside from the sleep deprivation, I am feeling pretty well myself, and so, so relieved that I'm not pregnant anymore. That last trimester was pretty tough this time around.
