Nope, I haven't abandoned the internet entirely! Just busy with plenty of work and the two tyrannical grape throwers underfoot...I will catch my breath eventually.

It was finally a proper spring day and we headed to Dumbo to celebrate. This was the first day Oscar's really worn proper shoes and he looks like such an old salt in them! Meanwhile, not a bad view for a playground, is it?

Introductions

Williamsburg, 2015

Axel is really into introductions at the moment: if I walk into the room and Will and Axel are there, he will gesture to me and say "This is my friend Mama." Or, if I approach when he's playing with his brother he might say, "This is my friend Ozzy." Then again, he is a little confused about how everyone relates. Oscar has learned to call for me by saying 'Mamamamama' in the mornings before either Will or I come into the room. Axel likes to clarify, "No Ozzy, she's not your Mama, she's my Mama!"

In other news, trapped in a cycle of awful stomach viruses and work deadlines and dreary rain. But I did get a second to read this post by Anne Lamott, which is very good and pretty spot on.

Happy Easter

We had a good, if blustery (and sugar-addled), Easter weekend. It included dinner at the very excellent Meadowsweet, a catchup with friends at The Heyward, a walk to McGolrick Park, and a good deal of jelly beans. Here's a look back at Axel's first Easter.

Oscar! He is getting more Oscar-ish by the day: fearless, always wanting to be in the thick of things, with a hysterical chuckle and a very good nature. I think Axel is coming around too...
