Oh hello! Still acclimatizing to life back in Brooklyn. The heat has broken (finally) and our day to day happenings are starting to seem a little more plausible.

Adventures

New York, 2016

Axel is on spring break this week so today we went on a special trip into the city, just the two of us.

We visited City Treehouse (a playspace with an indoor water table), the Highline and the Pershing Square Beams, and the Whitney Museum.

New York was so gorgeous today it seemed like the city was almost showing off. Perfect spring weather, buskers everywhere playing beautiful music on cellos, violins, and saxophones...and Axel was so well behaved, we had a blast.

It's really nice that he's getting to an age where we can do things we both enjoy together, and days like this give me renewed faith in city life with kids. Onwards and upwards!

I think the three year old's birthday party we attended this morning at a local tattoo parlor might have been the most Williamsburg thing ever.

On a related note, can we all just agree that toddlers' birthday parties are basically just group panic attacks? I think we just barely survived the balloon turf wars.

Aside from that, we've squeezed in a few quiet lunches with Bo on the weekends (thanks to a troupe of great babysitters willing to wrangle the older two.)

Today we hit up Chiang Mai in Red Hook which was excellent and very authentic. Hoping the little break will give us some fortitude for the week ahead.
