I can't help but laugh at Oscar's winsome little smile. This is how they get you!

It's been a bit more than three months, and I would say that this little one is more demanding than his brother was. At first it was a lot of digestive angst, but now that that's mostly settled down, I think it's partially his temperament. He loves to be held, smiled at, and snuggled. Can you see the thought bubble above his head, where he's conspiring to sleep in our bed?

Axel was an unusually independent baby. Affectionate, yes, but sparingly so. He's still generally happy doing his own thing, and as an infant he never protested being in his own bassinet or crib. Oscar, our sweet second baby, is already like, 'Remember me!? Oh hello. You over there?! Pick me up! See how cute I am?' Smile smile smile.
