11211 Love

Williamsburg, 2015

It's good to be back on our home turf, although after being away for a spell Brooklyn always seems like a caricature of Brooklyn for a few days.

Look at all these Brooklynites being Brooklynish, I find myself thinking.

Anyway, the tempo of change in the neighborhood has shifted into high gear lately, with news that places like the Wythe Diner are soon to be extinct, while Apple moves on in.

There are some other new kids in town as well, like the gorgeous coffee shop Devocion; Xi'an Famous Foods; The Heyward...and I'm sure quite a few more to come. Will and I were chatting on one of our epic car rides recently about all the changes (R.I.P. Tops).

Whatever happens, it's starting to feel very different from Williamsburg circa 2004.
