Just a few blocks from home, one of the coolest things I've seen in a long while: Kara Walker's installation at the Domino Sugar Factory. The whole room smells like burnt sugar. Here's a bit more about the Sugar Sphinx.
Neighborhoods change, of course, but after a peek inside the old factory, I have to say I'll be a little sad to see it so transformed. It's such an awe-inspiring venue for large scale art.
