Home Again

Oscar, 2014

Back in Brooklyn! It was certainly tough to leave the Caribbean...I feel like I could have happily spent a month there, and Axel was so happy splashing away in the sunshine. Today he called the East River the ocean, and, well, it's not quite the same thing. Still, there are buds on the trees here and it's nice to catch up with friends and our life here.

We've shaken the sand out of our suitcases until the next jaunt (a trip to the Virgin Islands next month for a dear friend's wedding.)

I feel like Axel grew up so much on this trip, and is so very communicative now...it's getting so much easier to parse what he wants, and to have little chats with him. Oscar, meanwhile, is getting big! I weighed him on our scale at home and he is nearly 13 pounds now.
